When the first Superman movie came out I was frequently asked “What is a hero?” My answer was that a hero is someone who commits a courageous action without considering the consequences... Now my definition is completely different. 

I think a hero is an ordinary individual who finds strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles.---- Christopher Reeve 

首部《超人》電影問世時，常有人問我：「怎樣才算是英雄？」
我當時的回答是，英雄就是不顧一切後果而展現出英勇行為的人……
但如今我對英雄的定義卻完全不同，我認為，英雄就是能激起力量堅持不懈並忍受排山倒海而來的阻礙的平凡人。
